We’re excited to share our new consent form for Labor Encouragement—designed to support thoughtful, trauma-informed decision-making around induction and augmentation.

This resource was created following our webinar on Induction & Augmentation, where we explored when and why labor may be encouraged, and how to center client autonomy every step of the way. (Did you miss it? Don’t worry—it’s being released as a full course later this month!)

The consent form outlines common reasons for labor encouragement, including:

  • Post-term pregnancy (41–42+ weeks)
  • High blood pressure or preeclampsia
  • Concerns about the baby's well-being
  • PROM
  • Suspected macrosomia or shoulder dystocia risk
  • Slow or stalled labor
  • History of fast labors or living far from care

Whether you’re supporting spontaneous labor or considering intervention, this form helps you document the conversation with clarity and compassion.

Now included in the Complete Informed Consent & Refusal Bundle—at no extra cost!
